Congratulations to the 7th grade (4th place) and 8th grade (3rd place) girls basketball teams on a competitive season and a remarkable presence at the Route 72 Conference Tournament. Congratulations, ladies! Thank you to the coaches-Coach Hall, Coach Bonnell, Coach Broski, and Coach Wood.

MJHS wants to thank CEANCI for giving our 8th graders the opportunity to explore various careers at the Pathways Project career fair on Wednesday, March 8th. They learned about different jobs such as the Army, firefighting, insurance sales and construction. They also visited the SVHS Ag students to learn more about chickens and corn! It was a great experience. #WeAreMCUSD

We are partnering up with Rochelle school district and the Ogle County Health Dept. to offer a school and sport physical clinic on Saturday, May 6th! School physicals & immunizations are required for students entering grades: pre-k, kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade for the upcoming school year. Additionally, 12th grade students have an immunization requirement. A parent or guardian must be present at the student’s appointment. Appointments are required. Call 815-562-2847 to schedule yours!

Mrs. Stahl's 3rd graders orthographically mapped their spelling words this week using syllables. They challenged themselves to do all 21 words at once and superiorly rose to the challenge! #WeAreMCUSD

It was a busy girls basketball weekend for MJHS! 8th grade will play Byron tonight at Byron Middle School at 5:00 to advance to the finals on Tuesday. 7th grade will playTuesday for 3rd place againist Forreston at Oregon High School at 4:00. #WeAreMCUSD

MJHS wants to congratulate Ethan W. for placing first at the IESA Sectional over the weekend! He is headed to STATE at NIU on Saturday! Go Ethan! #WeAreMCUSD

MJHS is celebrating our 7th and 8th grade Symphonic Band members with their blue ribbons! These blue ribbons mean they earned a Division 1 Superior rating at the Solo/Ensemble Festival. Congratulations! #WeAreMCUSD
