MCUSD 223 Buildings and Grounds Department
The Buildings and Grounds department consists of 4 maintenance/grounds employees and 15 custodians. We care for the grounds of over 100 acres of property, including 9 athletic fields. We also maintain and clean 4 buildings totaling 300,000 square feet. Our fleet consists of two trucks, three zero-turn mowers, a Bobcat Skid-steer, a Kubota UTV, and two tractors. Meridian Junior High School
The Meridian Junior High School sits on 5 acres of land and totals 83,552 square feet. It includes a spacious park, two outdoor basketball courts, two gymnasiums, and a satellite building that houses both the buildings and grounds department and the technology department.
Monroe Center Elementary School
The Monroe Center Elementary School sits on 10.1 Acres and totals 52,935 Square feet. It includes a large park with multiple basketball hoops and soccer fields.
Highland Grade School
The Highland Grade School sits on 10 Acres of land and totals 40,877 square feet. It includes an immense park and outdoor area with a large variety of play equipment.
Bus Garage
The Bus garage sits on 11.25 acres of land and totals 12,294 square feet. These buildings hold our district's busses and transportation department. The land also shares 3 baseball fields and a soccer field.
