What is FOIA?
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act provides public access to reports, forms, writings records, maps, photographs, papers, recorded information and other documents that were prepared, used, received, possessed, or used by any public body. FOIA does not enable access to documents containing confidential personal information or trade secrets.
