2021-2022 Student Registration

Registration is opening April 27!

This is just a quick reminder that in order to be eligible for the early incentive registration fee rate, all fees for the current school year and previous years must be made on or before April 8.  Please see the information below for more important information concerning the registration process.  Thank you!

Important Dates

  1. All fees must be paid in full for the current school year and previous years including Fee Management (school fees of all types, activity fees, course fees etc…), and Food Service (lunch account balances) by April 8th to qualify for the early registration incentive fee rate.
  2. Online registration for the 2021 – 2022 school year is scheduled to open April 27th.  Early incentive rates will be applied to eligible accounts at this time and must be paid before June 4th.
  3. In-person registration for 2021 – 2022 available at MJH on Wednesday, June 2nd, 7 am – 6 pm.
  4. Early incentive fee rates will end June 4th.  All early incentive payments must be made on or before June 4th.  After this date the original registration fee amounts as listed below will apply. The early incentive rate is no longer available after June 4th
  5. Registration must be complete by July 16th to ensure our ability to transport students at the beginning of the school-year.

Fees

  • Kindergarten   - $140 registration fee, $100 registration fee if eligible for early registration incentive
  • 1st & 2nd Grade - $145 registration fee, $105 registration fee if eligible for early registration incentive
  • 3rd Grade           - $158 registration fee, $118 registration fee if eligible for early registration Incentive
  • 4th – 8th Grade  - $153 registration fee, $113 registration fee if eligible for early registration Incentive
  • SVHS                 - $168 registration fee, $128 registration fee if eligible for early registration incentive
  • ONLY students with ZERO remaining fees are eligible for early registration incentive
  • The above rates have not increased, but include required items that were priced separately in previous years.

Registering on time is an important function of our community supporting our schools. The act of registering and paying fees on-time not only supports our budgeting process, but more importantly allows schools and transportation to operate as smooth as possible at the outset of the school-year.

Dear Parents and Guardians

Online registration via Family Access will be available April 27th, 2021 through July 20th, 2021.

A Family Access account is required to complete registration using this method.  If you don't know your Family Access log in information, please contact the building your child will be attending.

Only the individual listed as the "Head of the Household" will be able to complete the Online Registration Section in Family Access.  The "Head of the Household" information is listed in Family Access under the Student Information section, under Family 1.  The first individual listed in this section is considered the "Head of the Household".

The online enrollment process is available 24 hours a day and will allow you to update student information and complete all necessary forms for registration. Medical forms and instructions are also available to print and have completed by a medical professional in the Online Registration Section. Parents new to our District, Pre-K and Kindergarten students cannot use the online registration process.

If you do not have access to Family Access from home, computers are available at the Julia Hull Public Library for public use during regular library hours.

If your current student has had an address change and requires transportation for the 2021 - 2022 school year, you must resubmit proof of residency at the District Office and then contact the Transportation Department (815) 645-2230 ext 7010 or 7011.  The transportation form can be found by clicking HERE

New Students

New Student Registration

Meridian C.U.S.D. #223 extends a warm welcome to our new students and families. The following information is presented to help the registration process flow quickly and smoothly. To be eligible for admission to Meridian, a child must be 5 years old and less than 21 years of age on or before September 1 of the current school term. A child with exceptional needs who qualifies for special education services is eligible for admission at 3 years of age.

Parents should be prepared to present the following documents and forms when enrolling their child(ren) in Meridian C.U.S.D. 223 schools for the first time.

Please note that failure to pay your fees by the beginning of the academic year may result in loss of privileges for your student(s) and/or being sent to collections. 

Required Documents

1. THREE Proofs of residency within Meridian C.U.S.D. #223 from these examples:

  • Drivers license
  • Home ownership title or deed (or signed closing statement)
  • Apartment lease
  • Letter of Residence in Lieu of Lease -for those enrolling a child but are unable to produce a lease, purchase property agreement, or similar document
  • Utility bill (water, gas, or electric)
  • Automotive insurance with address 
  • Homeowners insurance
  • Property tax bill

When the Person Seeking to Enroll a Student Is Living with a District Resident, a Letter of Residence can be filled out by clicking HERE

2. Birth certificate - certified original copy (hospital copy not accepted).

3. Physical examination - required for all new out-of-state students and for students entering pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades. Must be signed by an Illinois physician.

4. Dental examination - required for all new out-of-state students and for students entering kindergarten, second and sixth grade.

5. Proof of immunizations against communicable diseases as required by the Illinois Department of Health required within one year before entering pre-kindergarten, kindergarten or first grade, for all new students entering District 223, and for students entering fifth, sixth and ninth grade.

6. Eye examinations are now required for all new out of state students and students entering kindergarten. Eye exams must be completed by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist.

In some instances, additional documentation may be required.

Registration begins at the district office (207 W. Main St, Stillman Valley, IL 61084) by proving residency, from there you will be directed with further instructions.

Returning District 223 students must register on-line via Family Access.

Transportation:

New students entering the district MUST contact the Transportation Department to set up transportation for the 2020-2021 school year. Please call the Transportation Department at (815)645-2230 ext. 7010 or 7011. The transportation form can be found by clicking HERE.
