Spring Choral Concert

SPRING CHORAL CONCERT

Tuesday, April 27th

7:00 pm at SVHS

Call time for students is 6:30 pm

 

 

Dear Families,

 

Our spring concert will be Tuesday, April 27 at the high school.  Students will need to wear their music shirts, black pants or long black skirts, black shoes, and black socks (if wearing pants).  Call time for chorus members will be at 6:30 pm and they should go directly to the high school music room for a quick warm-up.  The concert will start promptly at 7:00 pm.

 

A special note for 8th grade boys:  You will need to stay for the first piece on the high school concert because you are singing as a combined choir with the high school boys.

 

Please remember that attendance at the concert is mandatory.  The concert is a huge part of each student's grade and it is what we have been working towards the entire quarter.

 

Also, if anyone can help me move students from the rehearsal area to the gym or can pass out programs, please contact me at school.  Your help is appreciated so much!

April
14 - Organizational Contest after school for 6 & 7 Grade band and chorus.  Times were handed out during class.  Attendance is mandatory.
20 - 6th band & chorus concert at MC at 9:30
27 - Choral concert, call time 6:30 at the high school.  Concert starts at 7:00 pm.

May
5 - Blue Man Group field trip to Chicago
11 - Spring Band Concert - 6th - 6:00 pm; 7th - 6:45 pm; 8 - 7:30 pm
15 - 8th Grade Contest at Great America

 

2010 FIELD TRIP INFORMATION AND PERMISSION 

This year students and parents from the Meridian Music Department will be attending a performance of “ BLUE MAN GROUP” . This performance will be at the Briar Street Theatre in Chicago on Wednesday, May 5th, starting at 12:00 p.m. This permission slip along with a $30.00 per person deposit is due on Friday, November 13th. This deposit will be covering our first payment of the tickets to the show. There will be a final payment due on Friday, February 12th which will be covering the balance of the tickets and the charter bus transportation. The final payment will also be $30.00. 

All checks should be made out to Meridian CUSD 223. Remember that all deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. 

This should be very exciting to attend a professional production of this magnitude!!!!! If you have any questions about this event please do not hesitate to call Mr. Eaton or Mrs. Owen at the Junior High. 645-2277 (ext. 4309)
